Stichting DOG Curaçao is a 'small' foundation, established on September 16, 2014. Since 2018, following a major crowdfunding campaign, the 'DOG Sanctuary' was built, and in doing so, the foundation has expanded the small shelter of 26 dogs at the time into a beautiful sanctuary with an average of 120 dogs.

Underprivileged dogs, neglected dogs, and dogs with disabilities or behavioral problems can enjoy being together at the Sanctuary in a safe and loving environment. For dogs that are social and fit well into a family, safe, wonderful 'golden baskets' are sought with loving families. This can be on Curaçao, but also in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and the USA, among others. Puppies are also cared for at the DOG Sanctuary in the 'puppy paradise'. Fortunately, most puppies are adopted by lovely new owners.

With a team of dedicated volunteers, the dogs are cared for, fed, cuddled, and played with daily. In addition, the foundation is supported by a wonderful team of veterinarians who are always ready with counsel, advice, and all medical treatments.
